Get to Know the Team at Thrift Painting

Scott Jaeger

Owner/Business Manager

Scott is most likely the first person you'll talk to. He has been with Thrift Painting since 1993. On the rare occasions that Scott isn't in the office, he's on his way to a show. Scott loves all kinds of music and goes to see as many bands perform live as he can. Scott can find the answer to any questions you might have on a current or upcoming project.

Larry Vanko

Owner/Estimator (Retired)

Larry has been with Thrift Painting since 1979 and loves fishing and bird-watching. One of Thrift's main estimators, there's a good chance Larry will be calling to schedule your bid. Larry is always happy to help with color selection or answer any questions about our process. He often stops by during the process to ensure everything is going smoothly or help out in a pinch. He's a big Packers fan too!

Brian Anderson

Owner/Estimator

Brian, a second-generation painter from Northern Minnesota, has been painting since he was ten. A huge music fan since his early days, Brian especially loves Classic Rock. Now a resident of Watertown, Brian has hung on to his roots when it comes to Minnesota sports. If you live east of Dane County, Brian will likely be your guy!

John Kitto

Company Founder (Retired)

John was with Thrift Painting from 1971 to 2016. Having built the company up from just a few painters in the 70s to one of the largest painting contractors in Madison, John retired a few years back and sold his share of the company to the trusted, long-term employees listed above. Never one to rest on his laurels, John has boldly undertaken a new venture with his son Rob. Now you can find him at the Lake Edge Seafood Co. on Monona Drive, selling high-quality fish in a combo Market/Restaurant!
